Conversation with a young boy I was volunteering with.

Young boy- “Are you vegetarian?”
Me- “umm yess why?
Young boy- “well because you look like a vegetarian”
Me- smiles and is left in deep though…

Later,
Me- “soo why do you say I look like a vegetarian?”
Young boy- smiles and giggles, “because you are skinny!!”
Me- laughs!!! “Well actually I am vegan!”
Young boy- “I thought it was the same?”
Me- “well, no vegans don’t eat dairy or eggs…whereas most vegetarians do.
Young boy- “ohhh well I was close!!”
Me- “yes, yes you were!”

All in all, I really wish I could have asked him more questions. As in, how he connected my appearance to a vegetarian lifestyle? What he knew about the lifestyle? Also, interesting is how he meant it all as a compliment. I also wanted to explain that being vegetarian or in my case vegan doesn’t mean skinny. Gosh, hopefully he will volunteer again so I can pick at his brain!

So I am thinking about painting a wall in my room, and of course I don’t want to buy toxic/animal based and abused paint sooo I searched the inter-webs and found Unearthed Paints! Kinda expensive for me at the moment… so I don’t know if I will go for it but so glad that this company exists! ;)
